hmmm, I love tech, as you probably know by now.

I had my tomtom GO 500 for a few years now, and now have the tom tom iphone app, one of the most expensive apps at arount $99 australian.

But I felt that some times you dont want to always take your gps or leave them in the car, especially

when there are so many cars broken into because of people leaving them in the car,so this is great. It works just like your normal tom tom, but you can  still have your music playing in the back ground.

You can have the volume slider thing set for just voice or music, or you can even disable the voice and have music going.

So far its worked pretty much like my stand alone tom tom unit, it has heaps of voices to choose from , although i dont know how you can get new ones, maybe some one has an idea??

My only grip with gps units is the maps.. there only as good as there last update,

I got  the iphone app around the end of the year, November and found that a couple of new extensions on a high way in my area were not on the map,

just dotted lines , and some how I ended off the highway and on some back road.. How I got there I’ll never know.

Thats when it gets frustrating with tech stuff, but like I said, its only as  good as the last update.. But mostly I think the iphone app is as good as any other gps ,only thing I wish apple could do is make the iphone a duel screen or split screen , so you can change your songs etc  . But overall its pretty good.

 I think it will improve over time..
