Decided to start up a blog here, Ill just be going on about my days ideas, Whats working whats not.

Anyway ill start off here,

Got an Antec 2480b for chrissi. Its the new home for my htpc witch used to reside in a midi tower.

Anyway here is its spec.

E5200 @ 2.5 Ghz

2gb of ram

Silent Gigabyte 4550

P5kpl-cm mobo

Anyway, I threw all that gear in the the antec.

I booted the beast up was surprisingly quiet, the 2 side fans on low.

Then I put it in the shelf/cabinet has about 7cm open gap on each side.

I ran a prime95 stress test and also a gpu one (cant remember the name of it - Makes balls fly around that are shiny, oooo shiny } I wanted to see how hot it got.

wow it got surprisingly hot, 4550 was on about 75 -80 deg and the poor old 5200 was at 67 :(. Mind you it is a 38 degree day.

Turning the side fans up made no difference, looks like I might invest in a CPU cooler.
